There are many benefits to replacing a product rather than just repairing it. Take for example an old Jetta I had 5 years ago. I kept pouring $600-$900 every other month just to keep the car running. After about half a year I was done when the mechanic told me the clutch was going out and it was going to be $950. At this point I decided to take the car into a dealer and trade it in for a Honda Civic. I haven’t had any repairs needed in the past 6 years (knock on wood). Plus I had the added hassle of an old car. My blinkers didn’t work, and It needed additional coolant all the time.

Hassle free life is a lot easier when you get something replaced. I didn’t realize that fact until after I got my new car. We tend to try to cling to thing that have sentimental value or are “not that bad zithromax netistä.” In reality life could be a lot easier if we’d just give in and replace it. What is your “It’s not that bad” thing that you’ve been wanting to replace, but just haven’t decided to pull the trigger on yet? I bet there are a lot of things that make the list. Is it the windows? The siding? The kitchen? Or is it simply a new pair of shoes that have been wearing down for a long time?

As a homeowner myself there are a lot of things with damaged pieces in my home.

That’s why we’re encouraging you to finally get that “it’s not that bad” thing done now. Stop simply repairing the problem for the temporary only for it to fall apart again a short while later.

One of the items we suggest for replacing rather than repairing is siding. The reason for this is that Siding is deceiving. Old siding which is 20+ years old or older can be hiding major problems underneath the paint.

Old siding, especially old wood siding, can get water logged or have cracks which allow water under the surface of the panels. If this is happens, water can sometimes damage the foundation of your home.

Siding replacement is more beneficial to you than siding repair, and simply replacing one piece of siding on your home to manage the problem is not helping your home in the long run. A new coat of paint may make your home look great, but it’s also not solving the problem if you have warped panels. The only thing that is going to give your home protection and insulation from further damage is new siding.

Think about it? New siding is strong, durable, insulating and never has to be painted again. This means it saves you the hassle of having to repaint every 5 years or so. Not to mention you’ll get your energy bill to go down down down. You will too get curb appeal and added equity into your home. Simply repairing your siding won’t do any of these things for your home.

Siding contractors are a dime a dozen. Here at Conservation Construction we want you to get a very personal experience. We work with you every step of the way. We offer Vinyl Siding, Cedar Ridge Siding, and James Hardie Siding.

In conclusion, your home is better off with replacement siding rather than repair siding. Think of the benefits and that’s easy to remember. You’ll get more insulation, more durable siding, a siding that never has to be painted again and more energy efficiency.
